Retrouvaille
/reh-troo-vay-ee/: [French Verb]
The Joy of finding something you thought you’d lost.
Let's be honest, You started your business because you couldn't not.
The 9 to 5 was slowly killing your soul and you knew, you just knew, that there had to be a better way to live.
And you built it. You actually built the thing.
You've got a team, the clients love you, and from the outside it looks like you've got it all figured out. But your brain never switches off. You go to lunch with your friend and you're half there and the other half is running through the thing you forgot to tell your team, the email you haven't replied to, and whether that system you set up last month is actually working or just failing without you knowing.
You're never fully at work and never fully not at work, and the mental spaghetti is so constant you've stopped noticing it... until someone asks you a question and your mind goes completely blank because you were holding fourteen things and just dropped all of them.
You've got tools you're paying for that you set up once and never touched again, and you're still doing things manually that should have been handed off two years ago because honestly, explaining it to someone feels like more work than just doing it yourself.
You know there are things on your plate that shouldn't be there anymore, but handing them over means training someone, checking their work, and probably just fixing it yourself anyway — so you don't.
You know something needs to change. But when you look at the whole thing it's so overwhelming you just... keep going.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you stopped having fun. You're not even sure when that happened.

Retrouvaille is about finding the woman who started all of this... and rebuilding the business around her, not the other way around.
You're stressed and grateful at the same time, and you feel guilty about both.
You built something real. But it needs you for everything and you can't figure out how to make it stop. You've tried to delegate (like, really tried) and you end up checking their work, redoing half of it and wondering why you bothered. So you just... take it all back. Again.
You need two full days of doing absolutely nothing to feel like a human again, and the voice in your head says that means you're not working hard enough. That if you were smarter, faster, more organised, more disciplined, you wouldn't need solitude to feel human again. The internet agrees. Get up at 5am. Batch your content. Automate your workflows. Delegate and trust.
As if you haven't tried all of that already.

You've Googled "how to automate my business" at 11pm, opened three tabs, felt more overwhelmed than when you started, and closed the laptop. You've bought a course, downloaded a tool, maybe even hired someone who promised to fix it and you're still here, doing the same things manually, because none of it fit the way your business actually works.
And some days you genuinely resent the business you built... you've thought about throwing it all in and starting something else. Sure, it's succeeding... and it's bone achingly exhausting... and you can't say that out loud because everyone else thinks you should be thrilled.
You don't need another use case. You don't need a framework, or template, or software.

You need someone who can look at the whole tangled mess of it, find what's making everything harder, and sit with you while you rebuild it into something that works for your life.
That's Retrouvaille.

I'm the only person who lost their job.
My financial services company gets 2,500 emails a week. My team only have to physically touch 10% of them. That company is a $10M a year firm I built from scratch — 3,000 clients, 2,000 super funds, in an industry where getting it wrong means legal consequences, not just a bad Google review. Along the way I automated 5 full-time roles out of the business and nobody lost their job (except me, which was the point!) — they just got to stop doing the soul-destroying stuff and do more of the work they're actually good at. That's somewhere between $450K and $600K a year in salaries that just... don't exist.
But most importantly, I'm not a tech person. I'm a person who uses tech. I've never written a line of code in my life and I don't plan to start. But I can look at the whole mess of your business systems, find the thing that's making everything harder than it needs to be, and simplify it.
And I know what it costs to be the woman who built the thing and then disappeared inside it. The guilt, the imposter stuff, the burnout you don't talk about because you picked this. I'm not coaching from a theory. I'm coaching from the other side of it.
I'm more champagne-and-voice-notes than boardroom.

My brain sees a systemic mess and just... has to untangle it. It's been that way forever (we can thank the ADHD for that one). Give me something complex and messy and I'm genuinely happy, (handy!) because that's usually what your business looks like when we start. But we're not just working on systems and strategies here. We go into all of it — how the business is working (or not), how it feels to be inside it and what's draining you that has nothing to do with a spreadsheet. It's private, it's 1:1, it's completely about you, and nothing is off the table.
I'll tell you the truth, even when it's uncomfortable (especially when it's uncomfortable). You've probably had enough people telling you what you want to hear and that's not what this is. Sometimes you think the problem is your team and it's actually your systems. Sometimes you think it's your systems and it's actually your offers. I'll find the real thing, not the obvious thing, because they're almost never the same. And once we find it, I'll sit in the complexity with you until the right answer shows up; I've got the patience for that even if you don't yet (to be clear, I have an abundance of patience for everyone else, and none for myself.. sound familiar?).
I won't hand you a use case and wave goodbye, you can have a million of those and still be in the same boat. We work on things together, and by the time we're done you understand how it all fits, not just that it works. Because the whole point is that you walk away not needing me, or anyone else, to keep it running.
I believe your business should serve your life, not the other way around, and every single decision we make together gets filtered through that.
I genuinely have fun doing this and you should too. Life's too short and we've been taking ourselves way too seriously for way too long. If you're expecting corporate and buttoned-up, you're in the wrong place… but I suspect you already knew that if you made it this far!

The Nitty Gritty
90 minutes together, just you and me, going deep. Not a "so tell me about your goals" conversation; we're mapping the whole thing. What's working, what's costing you time you don't realise you're losing, and where the real problems are hiding (spoiler: it's almost never where you think).
Fortnightly on Zoom. Some weeks that'll be systems and workflows. Some weeks it'll be " want to fire my whole team and start again" and we'll talk through whether that's real or whether it's Monday. They're recorded and transcribed so you don't have to choose between being in the conversation and remembering it.
Private Telegram access. Voice notes, quick questions, the "am I overthinking this?" moments. Honestly, this is where most of the magic happens: the stuff that comes up at 2pm on a Thursday that can't wait two weeks.
I'm not going to describe a perfect system and leave you to figure out how to make it exist. We do it together, and you understand why it works, not just that it does.
We finish with an integration session that ties it all together and maps your next 90 days, so the momentum doesn't just... stop
Still wondering "but what would we actually work on?"
Here's a few of the greatest hits, but honestly we can also pretend it's the 90s again and you can choose your own adventure...

More from your business without more from you
This is the one underneath all the others. We redesign your role so the business stops needing you for everything. What would getting 10, 20, maybe 40 (it's a thing) hours back a week do for you?
Maybe you remember why you started this in the first place?
AI without the noise

Where's Al actually going to change your industry? What should you care about now vs later? We cut through the noise and build something real, versus a ChatGPT subscription you use twice and forget about (while it gaslights you in the meantime).
A team that works, without hiring more people

What can only you do? What should someone else be doing? What should nobody be doing because a machine can handle it? We build the framework so you can actually let go of things without it all falling apart.

Your offers, your pricing, your revenue model. Is there more leverage available? Almost always yes. We look at what's there, what's underpriced, what could run without you, and where the highest-return move is right now.

The hours you didn't know you were losing
We find the things eating your hours that you've been tolerating because you don't know how to fix them yet, and then we fix them. Automations that actually run without you checking on them, an Al setup that fits your business (not someone else's), and systems documented so your team can own them.

This isn't about making more money.
I mean, that'll probably happen. When your business stops leaking time and energy in fifteen different directions, the money tends to follow. But that's not why you're still reading this page.
You're still here because somewhere between the team and the clients and the emails and the tools and the guilt, you lost the version of yourself that started all of this. The one who was excited. The one who had ideas at 2am (not existential dread) and couldn't wait to try them. The one who didn't hate her own inbox.
I'm not going to promise you it'll be easy. Some of the conversations we have will be uncomfortable. Some of the things you think are essential will turn out to be things you've just been doing for so long you forgot to question them. And letting go of control... even the control that's crushing you, is ... hard.
But three months from now, you will understand your business in a way you don't right now. You'll know what to keep, what to kill, what to hand off, and you'll actually trust that it'll get done. Your team will be working better. Your systems will be working for you. And you'll have space in your head again.. real space, creative space, not the two-minute gap between putting out fires.

I built a successful business and resented the heck out of it. So I rebuilt it around my life.
Hello, I'm Jess! Over the last 6 years, I’ve built a $10M p.a. financial services business in one of the most heavily regulated industries in Australia. I didn't have a grand vision, I didn't even have a qualification, I just saw a problem and my brain had to solve it.
What I've learned along the way is that I have a knack for simplifying things. I can sit with the full complexity of a business and find the through-line that makes it all click. I'm also not a tech person, I'm just a person who uses tech. And honestly, I'm tired of watching people make it seem way harder than it is, or worse, using it to scare you into thinking you're already behind before you've even started.
I know what it's like to build something you're proud of and still feel exhausted by it. I changed that for myself and now get to play padel twice a week, drink champagne in Champagne, take weeks off without anything breaking, and spend an unreasonable amount of time with my bulldog Luna. That's the life the business was always supposed to give me and now I want to help you do the same, because it's not as far away as it feels.
